Volunteer Engagement Manager
(Boston Office)

The Volunteer Engagement Manager is a new role at SWSG Boston. It is designed to tap into the incredible potential of adult volunteer engagement in our intergenerational mentoring model. After 16 years of programming in Greater Boston, the SWSG Boston team is reviewing all program components to prepare for strategic and responsible growth. In order to grow effectively, SWSG needs to solidify the Strong Leaders Network and other adult volunteer opportunities to more effectively engage professional women in our mission delivery and to secure the needed resources for growth. Despite the wide array of professional women interested in supporting our work, we have not fully realized the potential of this community because we have not had adequate staff capacity to serve professional women.

Development Manager (Boston Office)

SWSG Boston has a budget of roughly $600,000 annually, which we are in the process of growing. The Development Manager will be the only full-time development staff member but will have the ability to access interns. The Executive Director is very involved with development and is supported by an active Development Committee, engaged Boston Board members, a communications consultant, and a freelance grantwriter. The Development Manager will report directly to the Executive Director and will collaborate closely with all staff and Board members. This position is focused exclusively on development efforts in Boston.

Communications and Development Intern (Pittsburgh Office)

If you are a storyteller, an enthusiast for excellent writing, and an outside-of-the-box thinker, consider joining SWSG’s Pittsburgh’s team to play an innovative role in helping grow an amazing organization with a very powerful mission. As the Communications and Development Intern, you will create and format compelling, mission-aligned content for our website, social media and community of strong supporters.  You will also help support local fundraising efforts and work with a dynamic team of professionals. The Pittsburgh SWSG office is located on the historic South Side. The position requires at least 16 hours per week with flexible start date and times.
