Elementary School Girls
In Strong Women, Strong Girls, girls learn, practice, and implement social emotional skills by:
- Participating in Strong Women, Strong Girls’ Countdown to Success Skills curriculum lessons
- Putting these skills into action through Strong Women, Strong Girls’ Service Project curriculum
- Visiting their mentors’ college campus once per year for a day of skill-building and learning about college
College Women Mentors
All Strong Women, Strong Girl college women mentors participate in extensive skill development activities including:
- 16 hours of classroom training in mentoring best practices
- 3 personalized coaching sessions led by Strong Women, Strong Girls staff
- Campus leadership opportunities to manage peers and program operations
- Organizational leadership opportunities to serve on the Board of Directors, as a member of the Strong Women, Strong Girls’ Speakers Bureau and Blogging Corps, and as an intern
Strong Women, Strong Girls college women who participate in the Mentor2Mentor program build professional skills such as:
- Resume writing
- Interviewing
- Negotiation
- Work place etiquette
