Register Today for Boston’s Strong Leaders Network!

We hope that you’re getting as excited as we are about this coming program year at SWSG! We have so many wonderful events to look forward to and our mentors can’t wait to start another great year with our Strong Girls.
We’re also eager to roll out our new Chapter-based Cohort Model for the Strong Leaders Network in Boston! We listened to the feedback we got from last year’s model; we took note and created our cohort model in response. This model is ideal because it allows for more opportunities for organic bond building between college mentors and professional women. Each of our six college chapters (Northeastern, Simmons, Tufts, UMass Boston, Boston College and Harvard) will have Strong Leader Ambassadors who will act as liaisons between our Strong Leaders and their cohort of college mentors. The Ambassadors will encourage these relationships by organizing monthly meetings that will give Strong Leaders a chance to meet with college mentors on a less formal platform, whether it’s a workshop or an informal dinner party.Screen Shot 2016-08-29 at 2.53.14 PM
Our Strong Leaders will still have the opportunity to attend all of our trademark SWSG events! Our Fall Conference, which is mandatory for all Strong Leaders, is scheduled for September 17th.  At the Fall Conference, women can expect to meet other Professional Women in the Strong Leaders Network and some of the college mentors that they will be empowering. Women can also expect to learn more about the all of the opportunities to get involved in the Strong Community (workshop facilitating, hosting Strong Leader events at your workplace, etc.).  Both our Fall and Spring Conferences are wonderful places to get general information and resources for the rest of the semester in SWSG.
Our Strong Leaders Network College Cohort model is integral to our mission as an organization, “Strong Women, Strong Girls empowers girls to imagine a broader future though a curriculum grounded on female role models delivered by college women mentors, who are themselves mentored by professional women”. By empowering our College Mentors to be the best women they can be, they, in turn can be role models for the young girls they mentor who are just beginning to build their self-confidence.Screen Shot 2016-08-29 at 2.53.45 PM
