Kelsey Waros
Director of Program Development and Community Impact
Kelsey has over a decade of experience in youth and girls’ development in local and international settings. She holds a Master’s in International Development and Nongovernmental Organizations, and has spent her career designing programs that empower young people and advance gender equity. Kelsey joined Strong Women, Strong Girls in 2017 and, as Program Director, managed community partnerships, developed evidence-based curricula, and created inclusive programming that prioritized diversity, belonging, inclusion, and equity. Her leadership extended to training and mentoring volunteers, fostering collaboration with stakeholders, and expanding program reach.
Beyond her program leadership, Kelsey has supported grassroots NGOs internationally, including developing youth and women’s empowerment initiatives in Uganda and supporting efforts to provide medical aid to underserved communities in Latin America. She works with organizations to strengthen their strategic planning, capacity building, and monitoring and evaluation efforts. Grounded in a commitment to collaboration and cultural responsiveness, Kelsey centers the voices of youth and girls in all her work, striving to ensure that every young person has the tools and opportunities to thrive.
