To the Members of our SWSG Community,
As you know, over the last four months the SWSG Search Committee has been working together to identify the next President for Strong Women, Strong Girls. While the response from candidates and the community has been tremendous, we are still working through the process to engage a permanent candidate.
From the beginning, SWSG Founder and President Lindsay Hyde has let us know that her final day as a member of the Strong Women, Strong Girls staff will be May 1st, continuing as a volunteer and adviser. As we approach that date, the Board of Directors wants to ensure continued strong leadership of the organization.
To this end, the Board has named Susan Miele as the Interim President for Strong Women, Strong Girls, beginning April 17, 2012. Susan has a strong history with SWSG, having served as a member of the Board and most recently as the Board Vice-Chair. Susan Miele is a human resources and business strategy professional specializing in organization and leadership development. Susan brings to SWSG over twenty years of executive experience in high growth and rapidly changing businesses spanning a variety of industries. The Board and staff feel fortunate to have Susan stepping into this capacity with SWSG to continue the legacy of dynamic leadership that has been the organization’s hallmark. You can reach Susan at: smiele (at) swsg.org .
