We are thrilled to announce that SWSG has hired a new Executive Director for the Boston market.
Siiri Morley, a passionate women and girls rights activist, social entrepreneur, and change maker has been named Executive Director of Strong Women, Strong Girls in Boston. Most recently, Morley was the Executive Director of Prosperity Catalyst, a nonprofit organization she founded that is focused on investing in women in distressed parts of the world to help them become successful leaders and entrepreneurs.
“After spending most of my career focused on investing in women and girls internationally, I’m delighted to be shifting gears to focus on girls in my own backyard,” said Morley. “I grew up in rural Massachusetts and am eager to bring my skills and passion to support local girls who I can relate to in a very personal way.”
Morley has an MBA from the Heller School of Policy and Management at Brandeis University. In 2012, she was recognized as one of sixty notable women in Fast Company’s “League of Extraordinary Women” and was profiled as an “Agent of Change” by PBS NewsHour in 2013. Louis Herrle, the current SWSG Board Chair said, “It is an exciting time at Strong Women, Strong Girls, as our Executive Directors in Boston and Pittsburgh focus locally. Siiri’s experience is a perfect fit for us and under her leadership, I know the future of the organization in Boston is very bright and I look forward to seeing it shine.”
