Lindsay Hyde, founder of Strong Women Strong Girls, was selected as one of only 16 Miami-Dade County educators, honored for her strong contribution toward the education of Hispanic students in Miami-Dade County at the 13th Annual Cervantes Awards for Hispanic Education at the Hilton Miami Airport Hotel, Wednesday, October 27.
Lindsay said, “The opportunity to engage girls from Miami-Dade County Public Schools has been incredibly inspirational. These young women are the future leaders of Miami-Dade and we know firsthand that they will make that future incredibly bright.”
Miami-Dade County School Board Member, Dr. Larry Feldman, presented Ms. Hyde with the Cervantes Outstanding Educator Award stating, “It is an honor to highlight the contribution that Lindsay has made to girls from all walks of life, in so many communities throughout the country.  Here in Miami, her hometown, Lindsay served as a mentor, role model and friend to young girls, particularly those from our Hispanic community.  I applaud her and the Strong Woman Strong Girls, her organization, for the important role it plays in providing mentoring opportunities to our future leaders.”
