SWSG is grateful to have the support of a strong group of women who have committed to fundraising for Jump into Spring 2012! To reach their individual goals, they have created online fundraising pages on StayClassy. SWSG sincerely thanks these women for “jumping in” to support our mission.
Each woman has a unique connection to Strong Women, Strong Girls. For example, long-time volunteer Clara Sierra was energized by the girls’ “pulsating energy” when she visited a SWSG program site last year.
Explore their pages below, check back soon for more stories, and learn how you can jump in too!
Kelly Orr: “A trusted friend, Clara Sierra introduced me to Strong Women Strong Girls (SWSG), and I was was immediately impressed! SWSG is a unique mentoring platform that shapes the future of women nationally, starting in elementary school, through college, and all the way up. Our communities and homes all benefit from Strong Women and getting girls on this track early – a win-win for whatever path they choose!”
Katrina Welch: “The reason I decided to get involved with SWSG is the chance to really make a difference in young girls’ lives and have an opportunity to plan a great event in order to raise more awareness and funds for the program.”
Camille Preston: “My name is Camille Preston, and I am the founder and CEO of Aim Leadership. I am involved in SWSG because when I was young, I benefited from many positive roles models—women who made me see all that I could do and all that I could become, who made me feel that anything was possible. SWSG does the same thing for girls who may not have such positive forces in their lives. I want to help create and empower communities of strong girls, who will turn into strong women.”
