Group Mentoring Session 1: Breaking Down Professional Barriers / Non-Traditional Career Fields
Join SWSG for an intimate Fireside Chat featuring Dena Haritos Tsamitis of Carnegie Mellon University and Avis Yates-Rivers of Technology Concepts International, moderated by Comcast Business Vice President and SWSG Board member Toni Murphy.
In this engaging conversation, Dena and Avis will share their experiences as trailblazers in technological career fields, and offer insights into how women in any sector can challenge norms to advance their professional aspirations and create more inclusive workplace cultures for all. Then, join Dena, Avis and college and professional women from our SWSG community for an interactive discussion about how you can break barriers in your own life.
Group mentoring will be hosted at the Energy Innovation Center, one of Pittsburgh’s premier green buildings located in the Hill District, with heavy hors d’oeuvres provided by the women-owned Black Radish Kitchen.
